Level 1/2

Level 1 and 2 have been very busy learning some interesting facts about mini-beasts! Students have started presenting about their chosen mini-beast, and it has been fantastic to hear what the students have found out and learnt. We are looking forward to hearing all the other presentations about mini-beasts, any mini-beast they would like to talk about!
We had a fantastic Oktoberfest, with many students wearing creative costumes to show the German colours or traditional outfits. Students had a lovely time doing three activities, cooking, games and craft. Thank you to all involved, it was a very successful day and all the students enjoyed learning more about the German culture and traditions.
We also had a cyber-safety presentation from Brainstorms. It was a fantastic and relatable show that talked about safety and kindness whilst playing online games, for example, Minecraft online with friends. After the production students talked about bullying, being safe online, and how to be a good friend. Please encourage your child to be safe online, and be aware of what they are doing online whilst playing on their iPads.
Just a reminder to let you child’s teacher know if you are going away during Term 4 at all. Term 4 is very busy and there is many assessments and portfolio tasks that need to get done.
As the weather is warming up, please remind students to wear hats, and bring along sunscreen to wear. Students also need to bring a drink bottle, and a variety of healthy snacks including fruit and vegetables in their lunch box.
