Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day)Recap

Thank you to everyone who donated money towards our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Stall. We managed to raise over $200 which will be donated to Project Compassion at the end of Lent. We would like to say a huge thank you to Renee Campbell, Matt Whitton, Ange Morrison, Trudy Davies, Denise Easey, Di Hobden, Fiona Knapman and Lucinda Bradford who all helped cook the hundreds of pancakes needed for the day!  

Crazy Hair and Hat Day Fundraiser

Today, the Infants classes organised a second Lenten fundraising appeal for Project Compassion - a Crazy Hat and/or Hair Day! For the cost of a gold coin, students were able to come to school with wacky hair and ridiculous hats, all in the name of almsgiving for Lent.  Congratulations on raising $414.00!

Recent Feast Days

On Sunday 17  March, the Feast Day of St Patrick was celebrated. St Patrick is a significant figure, as he converted thousands of Irish people across his 40 years of service. He is known for using the Shamrock leaf as a way to help explain the Holy Trinity to the people of Ireland.

A few days later, on Tuesday 19 March, we celebrated the Feast Day of St Joseph. St Joseph, as we know, was betrothed to Mary and was Jesus’ foster father. Most of what we know about St Joseph comes directly from the Gospels. St Joseph is significant to us as our local parish is named after him.
