2021 Swimming Carnival
Our annual Inter house swimming carnival was held on Monday 22nd Feb having been postponed from the previous Wednesday due to the COVID shutdown. With 60% of our students in attendance numbers were slightly down on previous years,
It was great to see most students supporting their house, especially the senior girls who wore their house colours proudly. It was fantastic to see students participate in the novelty events as well as the races.

VCE boys cricket
For the first game of school cricket on Friday we came up against Sale Catholic College who are always a strong side in school cricket. We lost the toss and bowled first. Shaymus and Tom bowled well to start off with not many runs coming from the first few overs. Taj Threadgold came on to bowl first change and bowled well to dismiss the Catholic College captain with a spectacular catch from the keeper Ed Phelan-Penson. Another wicket followed when Tom Harms bowled the other College opener. Jayde Stewart bowled well later on and got a run out that flicked his hand and ran out the off-strike batsman. In our batting innings Shaymus hit a six from the first ball. Ed Phelan-Penson batted well throughout the rest of the inning s and we finished with 40.
In the second game we batted first against Sale College. Shaymus and Ed opened the batting, Ed went out early to bring in Taj Threadgold. Taj and Shaymus smashed 94 off the ten overs with Taj bringing up an immaculate 54 runs in the last few overs. Shaymus finished the innings on 31. The bowling started off slowly however a wicket from Tom Harms kept us in the game. The middle overs went very well and we sealed the win by 3 runs in the end.
Thanks to Mr. Wallace and Lindsay for accompanying the team.
