Resource Centre

Hello to the Marian College community.  My name is Gabrielle Douglas and I am the new Head of Resource Centre.  For the last four years I worked in the Library at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College in Braybrook, not far from here. I love helping students to find a book they will enjoy reading and I’m looking forward to working with you all. The Marian College Library has a wonderful collection of books to suit readers of all types and we always welcome suggestions of new books to add.

Parents and students may be interested to know that Library Monitors Group and Book Club will be running again in 2021.  Keep an eye out for notices and sign up sheets in March.

Some exciting library news - over the holidays the family of Library dragons welcomed a new member. She is a very pretty shade of lilac and loves to read books but she doesn’t have a name yet. Students make sure you visit the Library soon to meet her and help us choose her name. 

Finally, February 14 is Valentine’s Day but we know it as Library Lovers Day.  We’d love to know what you love about the Library. Students can collect a paper love heart from the circulation desk and write us a message.
