Grade 1/2W

It’s beginning to look like Christmas in 1/2HW! The class have been busy learning about the season of Advent and enjoying our final few weeks together. Today our classroom turned into a puppet theatre with 3 fantastic performances staring lead actors and actresses!  Please see the attached photos of our creations. Miss Wood

Grade 5/6

After a disjointed preparation due to covid, our Confirmation Candidates were confirmed by Father David Cartwright on Friday. In a scaled back ceremony, the candidates were reverently excited and a little nervous, but represented their parents and sponsors beautifully.

To celebrate after the sacrament, Tricia McKean had made beautiful cupcakes, which were graciously scoffed at lunch, by students and teachers alike - Thanks Trish!

Thank you also to Mrs. Keely for her tireless preparation under constantly changing circumstances, Father David for his commitment to making the candidates feel calm and comfortable, and Mr. Buckley, Mr. Brooks, Ms Cooke and Mr. Sandison for the ongoing guidance, support and preparation for the sacrament. Finally and big well done, thank you and congratulations to the year 5s and 6s for their commitment to making the morning special. We hope all the parents and sponsors have had the opportunity to watch the recording of the ceremony. An email was sent on Saturday afternoon to 5/6 parents, and a Operoo was sent earlier in the week.
