2020 Wall Mural by Grade 5/6 Students
Over the last few weeks, a dedicated and enthusiastic group of students helped to create this amazing mural all about the craziest year ever, 2020! During remote learning, the Year 3/4 and the Year 5/6 Students made designs inspired by the artist Keith Haring. We put the ideas together to create our own feature wall all about what St Brendan's life was like this year. Many of this year's events became featured, including the bushfires, Black Lives Matter protests and social distancing. The students were so amazing to work with, we had a wonderful experience, heading outdoors and doing some painting that will be admired in the years to come.
The Great Book Swap
Thanks to all of those parents who donated books or gave their children some coins to purchase books from our book swap. We raised $150 that will provide books to Indigenous children living in remote communities.
Thank you for your support.

Cultural Studies- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture
We celebrated NAIDOC week during our Cultural studies sessions. The theme was ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’. The students investigated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art including symbols and markings. They designed their own piece of artwork. Here are some of the designs-
Yoga at St Brendan's
As our yoga sessions finish for the year, I would like to congratulate the students for the enthusiasm they brought to this new class.
I look forward to continuing the focus of Breathing, Stretching and Mindfulness with the children next year.

Year 5/6 Art Work
The Year five and six students have been working hard to finish their hand-painted skateboard decks. In Term One the students investigated the works of various street artists and planned their designs for the decks. Little did we know that we wouldn't actually get to do the painting until Term Four! Well done Year 5/6's for your work and for being so patient.
