Principal's Message
Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,
STUDENT LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT ASSEMBLY
Next Friday 11th December 2.45pm, we will be holding a WebEx Student Leadership Announcement Assembly due to current restrictions. This will be our announcement of our student leaders for 2021. Parents and families will be contacted to attend online but they and the students will be unaware of which leadership responsibility they will have so they won’t find out until the announcement.
The leadership roles to be announced are:
- School Leaders (formerly School Captains and School Vice Captains)
- Senior House Leaders – x2 each House x2 Y6, x2 Y5 (House Captains, Vice House Captains)
- Junior House Leaders – x2 each House Y4 (Junior House Captains)
- Sustainability Leaders – x2 Y6, x2 Y5
- Community Engagement Leaders – x2 Y6, x2 Y5
- STEAM Leaders – x2 Y6, x2 Y5
- Performing Arts Leaders – x2 Y6, x2 Y5
- Visual Arts Leaders – x2 Y6, x2 Y5
The formal badge presentation assembly will take place early in Term 1, 2021 when we hope to be able to invite all families on-site to celebrate this special occasion.
WHOLE SCHOOL TRANSITION DAYS
Just a reminder that our transition program will be running for three days next week from Tuesday 8th December – Thursday 10th December in preparation for 2021.
- Tuesday 8th December - state-wide transition
- 2021 Foundation students 9.30am to 1.30pm – ONE DAY ONLY
- Our Year 6s go to their secondary school.
- Our current Foundation to Year 5 students transition to their new classes and year groups for the next three days
- Wednesday 9th December
- Second day of transition for our current Foundation to Year 5 students
- Majority of our Y6s return to school
- Thursday 10th December
- Third and final day of our transition program for our current Foundation to Year 5 students

STAFF LEAVING MARAMBA
At the end of each year, we sometimes say farewell to some staff who have made a valuable contribution to the growth and development of many children who have been at Maramba. While saying goodbye is always a sad time, with every ending is a new beginning. For those staff departing it is just the beginning of a new journey and chapter in their lives both personally and professionally.
To Mary Katis and Hayden Colgrave, each of whom have been with our school community for the past two years. I thank you on behalf of the entire Maramba family for the value you have added to the past and present community, to the lives of all the children you have taught and wish you all the best for the future.
