In most cases, services are performed at no cost to the school, student or parent.

We are fortunate at Caulfield Junior College to begin a partnership with this organisation in 2021. OnPsych value working collaboratively with school welfare teams, teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people across Australia. Their services will be provided on-site, at the school, to eligible students who currently have or will obtain a mental health plan from their GP.
If you feel your child/children would benefit from this service, please contact Shauna Sanderson, our Wellbeing Coordinator for further information.
Counselling at Caulfield Junior College.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
My name is Caitlin Elliott and I have been counselling at Caulfield Junior College since last term. I am a Master of Counselling student at Monash University and have been fortunate enough to come to know the staff and students of CJC whilst completing my placement.
I have been providing support to students who have been facing difficulties with; emotional regulation, anger management, anxiety, self-esteem, friendships, bullying, family breakdown, family relationships, grief and a variety of others.
Support can come in the way of providing them with evidence-based coping strategies and tools, problem-solving techniques, providing a safe space for emotional expression, or even just providing an ‘ear’ and encouraging them to communicate issues, can be highly therapeutic in itself. I have therefore been offering both individual and group sessions and am on campus from Tuesday to Thursday.
If you feel your child could benefit from some support with facing a particular challenge (which is not far and few between considering the past year we have all experienced), and you would like to see that I provide my support to them in the context of an individual session, you are welcome to return the consent form attached. Your child’s teacher will organise a time so as it will not interfere with their learning.
Further, if you would like to speak with me regarding your child, you are more than welcome to via any method that suits you, be it email, phone or in person at school. Whereby you can first make contact with me via email at: caitlin_elliott@live.com. If you would like to know more about myself, please feel free to read below.
Kindest regards,
Caitlin Elliott.
About Me. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and French) and Master of Teaching (Primary), and soon a Master of Counselling. I have several years of experience as a primary teacher across Melbourne and Brisbane. My focus has always been on the wellbeing of children and the combination of my experience as a teacher with my background and interest in psychology, has provided me with such an invaluable foundation for counselling. In addition, I completed a school exchange in Bordeaux, and since then, I am proud to say that France has become my second home.
