CHRISTMAS APPEAL AND HOUSE COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD

Once again I would like to thank everyone for their generous support for the Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal.

Toa who is the Soup Van Leader from the St Vincent de Paul Society collected all the hamper items and Christmas presents Tuesday morning. He was so grateful for our efforts. Some of the Soup Vans in Metro Melbourne such as Collingwood, Fitzroy, Footscray will now be able to give presents and food/Christmas items to the people they serve.

Mini Vinnies were also very lucky as they got to see one of the Soup Vans. Toa asked me to pass on his sincere thanks to the SFS community. People that would have missed out on Christmas will now receive food, Christmas items and presents thanks to SFS.

The final points for the House Christmas Appeal were:

MacKillop       221

Patrick             220

Teresa              141

Bosco              128

We then added these points to the previous points each House had earnt through the Caritas Appeal and the Grocery Appeal and the winner of the House Community Spirit Award this year is Patrick with 552 points.

The final total scores were:

Patrick             552

MacKillop       526

Teresa              366

Bosco              359

Congratulations to Patrick House for winning the shield this year!!

Well done to all the Houses for your generosity in helping others within our own community and the wider Melbourne community.

Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Christmas with your families.
