P-2 students are into our new Singing Links Program. We have been really enjoying learning new songs every week and practicing our Pitch Exploration. This term we have learnt a number of songs including ‘Oh My’, ‘Charlie Over the Ocean’ and ‘5 Little Ladies.’ We encourage all our families to ask their children to teach them the lovely songs. If you want to practice at home, you can visit
the password is Sing1.
We have all been learning about Geography in Year 1 and 2.and have had fun exploring our local area using Google Earth, Maps and World Globes. Students have been really keen to explore and investigate the special places to them and explain to others why they are so special. These special places have helped us during writing and learning about how to write personal recounts.
Preps have now started full weeks! There were a few sleepy eyes in the first week but all is well now in the last week of their first term.
All campuses have had very exciting excursions visiting Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre to explore boomerang throwing, traditional Aboriginal games, a guided walk through the native garden to learn about bush tucker and traditional medicines. Some were able to feed the animals and experience dreaming stories and dance.
Year 1-2 classes have visited the Queenscliff Marine Life Centre and surrounds spending the day in Queenscliff and surrounds, learning about marine and freshwater environments including attending an educational session at the Marine Discovery Centre.
What fantastic experiences in their first few weeks of schooling!
