Brockway Road - Shared Pathway & Brockway Road Rehabilitation

Asphalting Brockway Pedestrian Path

Civcon are due to start asphalting the Brockway Pedestrian Path on Friday 30 April 2021, weather permitting.

The works are planned over the next few weeks and is dependent on weather conditions and asphalt availability.

The carpark next to the UWA Nedlands football club will be used as a laydown area from 7am – 5pm and speed in the area will be slowed down to 40km/hr (between Lemnos and Underwood).

Traffic management will be set up for pedestrian and cars to manage movement on the road and in the parking area.

2021 Brockway Road - Shared Pathway and Brockway Road Rehabilitation

The City of Nedlands is about to commence two significant capital works projects on Brockway Road, Mt Claremont from March 2021. They are the Brockway Shared Pathway and Brockway Road Rehabilitation road upgrade. Civcon have been awarded the contract to undertake this work. Below is the information relating to both projects to ensure you can plan your travel in advance to avoid delays.

Brockway Road - Shared Pathway

The City of Nedlands has been awarded funding by the Department of Transport to assist with the development of a Pedestrian Shared Pathway on Brockway Road, Mt Claremont from Underwood Avenue to Quintilian Road.

Stage 1

16 March - late May 2021 - Underwood Avenue to Lemnos Street

Construction of a 2.5m wide dual use path within the south bound verge on Brockway Road. A 40kph speed limit will be in place during this time.

Brockway Road Rehabilitation and Road Resurfacing

The City is planning major road resurfacing works for Brockway Road, between Alfred and Lemnos Road, Mt Claremont from the 22 March - 4 May 2021. Updates relating to possible road closures or detours will be provided on this project page, so we encourage the community to stay informed on the various detours to be put in place to ensure minimal disruption. Main Roads is partnering with the City of Nedlands by partially funding this project.

22 March - late May 2021 - Alfred Road and Lemnos Street, Mt Claremont
