Moreland Council Youth Climate Summit

Earlier this term on May the 5th a number of students from CHS attended a youth climate summit. In which we learnt about climate change and how we can combat it. This was run by Moreland Council in collaboration with Ceres, as you know Moreland council recently declared a climate emergency and have made a plan to switch to renewable energy by 2040. Part of this plan is educating young people about Climate change and how we can prevent it. Some of the activities we did included giant ecosystem Jenga where you had to stop the ecosystem collapsing, we also got to see a bunch of machines that create energy sustainably. Overall we had an incredible time and learnt so much. I think everyone would like to do something like this again.
