Student led Youth Liturgy - Year 10 Patrick Religious Education

Over 130 years ago, a group of nuns brought an oak tree seed from Ireland to plant on the site of their new school campus in Echuca. This morning, students of Yr 10 Patrick House Youth Ministry class chose this location as the site of their class Liturgy.

Each student in the class took on a role in the liturgy, from reading the readings, Welcome to Country, symbolic act, music or logistics.

As part of the sacred Liturgy, students were blessed with holy oil and pegged a card with what they were grateful for to a ribbon attached around the Oak Tree. Students embraced the opportunity to be part of this celebration of their faith, enjoying a hot cross bun after the Liturgy.
