SSVS INTERSCHOOL SENIOR BOYS SOCCER

The Senior Boys Soccer team played Mildura Senior College on Friday May 7. Within the first few minutes Max Cirigliano had scored a goal and the boys displayed their much rehearsed victory dance which received much accolade from the crowd (as well as a few of the Senior College team). Just before half time Makanaka Nyanhemwa scored the best goal I have seen this year, the keeper didn’t have a chance.

The second half was a tougher game as we lacked the substitutes that the Senior College had. Our boys were tiring and Senior College managed to get one back. This was a wakeup call and the boys dug deep into their energy reserves and took back control. In the end we had a few near misses and could easily have extended our lead.

MVP goes to Meric Kiran and the McAuley award goes to Lachlan Beggs. The boys will progress to the next round later in the month.

SSVS INTERSCHOOL BOYS AND GIRLS SOCCER

Fantastic results from the soccer with the junior and senior boys progressing to the LMR Soccer Championships. Both the boys teams played very well with the senior team beating the senior college and the juniors winning all their games.

Our girls teams battled hard all day and only narrowly missed the opportunity to progress further.
