PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the third issue of ‘Community’ for 2021. It feels that time has indeed flown since our last issue.
Week in, week out, the college is a veritable hive of activity. We wanted to show more of what happens on all three of our busy campuses, and Instagram was the natural solution. Find us @stjosephscollegemildura and see our community in pictures.
Term 2 is full of experiences to savour. In just the first three weeks, our students have enjoyed participating in events that both unite the college and link us to the wider community:
- St Joseph the Worker Feast Day Activities
- Cross Country Competition
- Carpenter’s Classic Concert
- ANZAC Day Observance Ceremonies
- VCE & Careers Expo
- Mother’s Day Breakfast
Soon, the Year 8 cohort will journey to the Grampians for their camp (May 17 to 21). Catholic Education Week (May 24 to 28) will inspire hearts and minds with events and workshops, including a combined Catholic School Mass for all Year 8 students. And naturally everyone will want to look their best on Tuesday May 25 for Portrait Photo Day.
June starts off quietly with Years 9 to 11 studying diligently for their mid-year exams and our Year 12 students preparing for their highly anticipated retreat in Anglesea.
Before you know it, we will all finish Term 2 and be on holidays again. Until then, try to make time to enjoy all the experiences and the opportunities on offer and find ways – however small they may seem – to be of service to your classmates, your loved ones, and your community.
God Bless,
Mrs Marg Blythman
