Secondary 9/10 Camp Reflection

SGJ Camp

I had a fantastic time at Forest Edge Camp.  I stayed there two nights.  My favourite activity was building a snowman.  It looked like a statue.  At the snow it was freezing and it snowed at the end of the day.  One day I would like to go back to the snow.  On the last day of camp I liked the flying fox the most.  I felt like I was flying in the sky.

I went to the snow.  It was cold.  I liked making a snowman and being with my friends.

I had an exciting time at Forest Edge Camp.  I liked the flying fox, rock climbing, playing table tennis and trampolining.  I had a snowball fight with Nicole, Caitlin, Mustafa and Andrew.  It was lots of fun.

I thought camp was really good.  At night in the recreation room we had a huge open fire.  I could hear the wood crackle.  It was nice and warm standing near the fire.  I did rock climbing.  I climbed up real high.  It was not scary.  At the snow it was very cold.  I had a snow fight with my friends.  On Wednesday I went on a flying fox.  It went very fast.  I felt like I was flying like a plane.

Camp was fun.  I loved having a snow fight with my friends.  I made big snowballs. On Wednesday I did rock climbing and went on a flying fox.  I had a big smile on my face.  I felt proud.  Low ropes was hard and I fell down two times.  I got up again and kept trying.

At Forest Edge Camp Alex and Caitlin made me laugh a lot.  Caitlin and I talked and talked in our cabin.  I laughed and giggled.  At the snow I had a snow fight.  It was cold, windy and it snowed.  It was the first time I had been to the snow.  I would like to go again.  It was very hard climbing up a rock wall but I kept trying and I didn’t give up.  I had a lovely time, but was tired when I got home.

I liked Forest Edge Camp.  At first I didn’t want to go, but I was brave.  On Tuesday I went to the snow at Mount Baw Baw.  I had a lovely time.  It was wonderful.  On Wednesday I did rock climbing.  I climbed up very high.  Gwenda was very proud of me.  I was very happy to see my mum and dad when I got back at school.

SJG Camp

SJG thought the camp was good but the food was not so good. The snow was the best part about camp. We threw snowballs, went tobogganing, built snowmen and saw snow dogs. The cabins were nice and warm, but the beds were hard and lumpy. John, a staff member at Forest Edge, was very helpful. He wanted us to have the best time. Overall, it was an okay camp.

SMV Camp

On Monday the 23rd we loaded up our bags onto the bus and headed off to Forest Edge Camp. It took about two hours to get to Forest Edge but we took a break for morning tea. On Monday, we made huts out of logs and fallen branches, we cooked damper on a camp fire and we also stacked crates to see how high we could climb. On Tuesday, we drove another hour and a half to Mount Baw Baw where some of us got to see snow for the first time. We went tobogganing and had a snowball fight. On the last day, we went on the flying fox, a low ropes course and went rock climbing. It was exhausting but we had an awesome time!
