Student's Work

What I am grateful for...

BY FAITH FUIMAONO

2 weeks ago we had a whole school assembly, every week Brianna comes up and she gives us homework to do. Last Friday that homework was “What are you grateful for?” Each assembly she comes up again and asks people “put your hand up if you remember last week’s homework?” so people put their hand up and answer Brianna’s question. The next question she asks is if anyone would like share. after the assembly is done we go back to our community and get our bags and wait for the bell to go home. Last week me and Brianna went for a walk and we were talking, I  mentioned the homework (what are you grateful for?) so she asked me what are you grateful for and I told her “I’m grateful for lots of things including my family so I have people to talk to, friends, because I would be so lonely and bored, a school because I can get good grades and one of my goals is to go off to University  and get a job. What I’m also thankful for is to have teachers, because you would need help if you are struggling with your work and even other problems and if you don’t know me I have lots of struggle but at least I know that I have teachers. I am also so thankful for my parents, my sister, my 2 brothers and a family. If it wasn’t for my parents I wouldn’t have a shelter over my head. I am thankful for that too.
