Alpacas with Maracas enthral more than a million kids for National Simultaneous Storytime

Last Wednesday Kingswood Primary School participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime, where the book 'Alpacas with Maracas' by Matt Cosgrove was read at 11:15am. More than 11,000 locations — mostly schools and libraries — across the country participated, with the biggest audience to date reaching over 1,000,000 people.

The NSS is organised by the Australian Libraries and Information Association, with the aim being to promote reading and literacy to all children.

Some grades wrote their own story about different animals and there were some colouring in pages too.

Macca and his pal, Al, are the best of friends and LOVE spending time together.

When there is an opportunity to enter a talent contest, they just can't resist.

But what will their act be? Will they shimmy and shake? Dance and prance?

Whatever they choose it will surely be a performance to remember!
