MUSIC NEWS

INSTRUMENTS
It has been another busy fortnight in the Music Department. Most students who are hiring instruments should have been allocated their relevant instrument. A reminder to those who have not yet organised payment, instruments cannot be taken home until this is done.
Another reminder to students and parents that privately owned instruments that are brought to school, should be clearly identified with the relevant student’s name and telephone number.
WELCOME
We welcome the new upper strings teacher, Ms Clare Bugeja. She will be teaching at the school on Wednesdays.
PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES
The Senior Stage Band performed at the Big Bands at sunset on Saturday 28 February. The gathered crowd commented on the fantastic sound they produced and how tight their ensemble playing was. Well done to all students and Mr Dmitry Serebrianik.
Congratulations to the Senior Singers for performance at World Day of Prayer Friday 6 March at the Templar Society. The students were engaging and received fantastic comments about their musicality. Thank you to Ms Blanka West for her ongoing drive with this fantastic group.
HOUSE MUSIC FESTIVAL
Another reminder to keep 7:00pm on Thursday 19 March free for the House Music Festival. The students are preparing a great deal of music for the evening and are looking forward to presenting this to a large audience. We look forward to seeing you then.
HIRE FEES
These are now due and should be paid to the Bursar as soon as possible.
AMEB SESSION 1
Enrolments have now closed for the first session and exams will be in a fortnight’s time. We wish all candidates good luck and a reminder to keep practising.
