NAPLAN Results

We are very proud of our students' NAPLAN results. Our results are consistently at or above the state average. More importantly, we have made significant gains in moving students from medium to high growth over the last few years, as can be seen in the chart below. This is testimony to the work of our fantastic teachers and the commitment of our students to their learning.

Uniform Sub Committee

The Uniform Sub Committee made a number of recommendations to Council last year that resulted in some significant changes to the Uniform Policy in response to surveys we sent to our community. These changes included greater flexibility in what items of uniform students could wear and when they could wear it. Other changes included allowing students to wear the jacket without the jumper and black socks for all students. This year we recommended to council that a waterproof jacket be introduced as a uniform item. We are seeking further feedback from our community. We would appreciate your feedback, either through  email or through the survey we sent to parents. We will also send a survey to students and to teachers.

Reporting

As you are aware, we changed our reporting system this year in response to surveys conducted last year. The results of the survey indicated a need to provide more regular reporting, hence we introduced 6 weekly progress reports for Year 7-11 and 3 weekly reports for Year 12 on Xuno.

Last semester we also used the Xuno assignments and tasks feature to report on our assessment tasks. In response to feedback on this feature, we have changed this semester to report this on a PDF found on Xuno under ‘Reports’.

We are seeking further feedback from you to help keep our reporting system relevant and informative. You are welcome to email the college or provide feedback on the survey we sent to all parents.
