Academic Excellence

Academic Excellence Program Year 7-9

The Academic Excellence Program continues to see students expand their thinking. This term we start  looking at study habits and how students learn, followed by time management. These should all enhance the students study programs prior to end of year tests.

The students will have a choice of projects to complete. Either the Integrated Challenge Project, which strives to develop a technology-based solution to an existing challenge at St Norbert College, or the SNC Writing competition, where students will write a short story or poem on why helping others leads to greater success. Let’s see what they choose!

Assessment of Languages Competence -  Japanese

Congratulations to the Year 10 and  11 students (see below) for their selection for the Assessment of Languages Competence (ALC) Tests for Japanese. These online tests are designed to assess language competence in learners of additional languages. The key aim of the students attempting the tests is to celebrate and enhance the learning of languages other than English.

The ALC Tests include listening and reading comprehension tasks in a multiple-choice format that are designed to challenge and enable students to experience success. Each student will be given a report that will inform them on what they are doing well and on what they can improve.

Year 10 – Yin Yin Feng, Paul Fuentes, Alina George, Sophia Lu, Chelsea Macalalad, Diep Nguyen, Alice O’Malley, Ava Pemberton, Alyssa Yang.
