Anti-poverty mass

On Thursday, 19 October some students who recently attended the Indonesian immersion were invited to an anti-poverty mass at St Thomas More Bateman. The students were able to write their special intentions for some of the people that they met in Indonesia and add these to the crucifix that was placed at the altar during mass. After mass the students had morning tea, where they were encouraged to share a slice of  bread and some water, a simple gesture highlighting that many people throughout the world live in poverty and do not have enough food to eat each day.

Norbie Care Christmas Appeal

Last week Year 7 students were introduced to their Service to Norbie Care Christian Service Learning for Term 4.  An information letter was sent home to all families last Thursday advising them of the requirements of the program.  The aim of this program is to provide funds and services to families in our school and parish community who are in need, especially around Christmas time.  The program will run during Weeks 3 to 6 this term.
