Goodluck and Farewell

We bid the following Staff members farewell at the end of 2017

Adrianne Ketcheson

Adrianne Ketcheson started at MSJ in 1981 and was originally employed as a Year 11 PE teacher (even though most students would now know her as a science teacher).  Coming from Canada, Adrienne knew nothing about netball and cricket so she taught the students other sports, most memorably, golf.  Adrienne has done a lot in her 37 years at the College, teaching a variety of subjects such as Science (VCE Biology), Maths, PE, French, English, Humanities as well as coordinating Year 9 for 2 years.  Our Psychology students owe their thanks to Adrienne as she was the teacher who got the subject up and running in the first place.  Adrienne’s dedication to MSJ is insurmountable and she will definitely be missed.

John Marshall

John Marshall began at MSJ in 1992 and has also been present for the many changes MSJ has undergone in the last 25 or so years.  John has completed the 2 hour round trip to MSJ each day showing his dedication to the students and the MSJ community as a whole.  John has also had the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects with the majority of those being in the junior year levels proving his ability to relate to the students as they travel along their academic journey.  John has taught junior Science, Maths, Geography as well as Food Tech from years 7 to 12.  The staff are always blessed with left over food from his classes winding up in the staff room. We wish you all the best for the future John!

Kezi Todd

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a College in possession of a good English teacher need not want anything else... And in 2007 Kezi commenced her employment at MSJ. During her 10 years at the College, she worked tirelessly within the English faculty. We thank her for her leadership, passion and innovation.  We thank her for leading the English faculty as Domain Leader.  We thank her for sharing her VCAA assessing skills with both staff and students and for her support and professionalism. Thanks for sharing your love of literature with us all. We wish you all the best and know that the students of CRC Melton are very lucky to have you next year.

Merryn Snooks

Merryn Snooks at MSJ in 2009, and it has been an action packed 9 years. Merryn has crammed in a lot: pastoral group teacher, science teacher, social justice co-ordinator,  costume co-ordinator for 2 College Productions and year level co-ordinator.  She has also worked tirelessly to spread the important message of sustainability and care for the environment at the College though Biology Club, Earth Team, Clean Up Australia Day, Tree Planting and the Witness King Tides Programs.  Merryn has been an integral part of the Wellbeing Team, and an important, empathetic link between students, parents and staff for many years. She is a true Josephite, she sees a need and does something about it. Her enthusiasm, unwavering commitment and unconditional support for all will be missed. We wish you all the best in her new job at Notre Dame College in Shepparton.

Leonie MacNaughtan

MSJ will be saying goodbye to one of our valued staff members, Leonie MacNaughtan. Leonie joined MSJ in 2013. Leonie is a dedicated teacher who is passionate about teaching and encourages the students to cook up a storm in the kitchen. Leonie will be remembered by many as being the teacher who introduced Latin dancing to MSJ on our days of celebrating the arts. Leonie is going on to new adventures, all the staff and students at MSJ would like to wish you all the very best.

Ana Gasparis

Ana Gasparis has worked as Psychologist on the Wellbeing Team at MSJ for three years. During this time she has assisted countless staff, students and their families. She has run a number of programs at MSJ such as the Seasons for Growth program, and the Young Carers program. We will miss her and her passion for the work that she does. Ana is moving on to work in a P-12 school. We wish you well with your new endeavour Ana!

John Poole

John joined the College in 2016 as Religious Education curriculum leader.  John is leaving to join Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College in Leongatha, a sister Josephite College so we will still be seeing some of John in the near future. We wish you well with your sea change John.
