VCAL NEWS

The Pulse FM

This semester in VCAL we did a major program at The Pulse radio station creating our own thirty-minute podcast on our own chosen topic.

We learned great skills such as preparing running sheets, organising guest speakers, how to speak on the radio, using a radio panel, how to edit a podcast and so much more. Some topics that were talked about were the nightlife in Geelong, sexuality, Geelong CBD and cultural diversity.

All groups produced excellent podcasts using the new skills they learned.

Each week we divided the class and half would go to Pulse Radio Station and the other half would be in the classroom researching their given topic. Every week at The Pulse Radio station was different; one week you could be recording, sometimes you were editing or even re-recording but you were learning the whole time.

The Pulse radio station task definitely taught everyone in Senior VCAL something new.

Hope you hear our voices on 94.7 The Pulse.
