Fundraising Update

With our first week of Fundraising Fortnight well underway, we feel proud of the effort the students have been putting in so far, with many getting involved in the events and donating generously.

We kick started this week off with a free dress day, raising over $630 in donations. On Tuesday morning our dedicated breakfast club volunteers performed excellently, raising $75 from selling toasties. That afternoon we had a fantastic turn out for our movie night, with around 50 students joining in to purchase pizza, garlic bread and popcorn, while sitting down to relax and watch the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. With the school BBQ on Thursday, we managed to raise just over $1000 this week!

With the goal being to raise $5000 for Mallacoota P-12, next week is also jam-packed with events. On Monday we have basketball shots for a prize, breakfast club again on Tuesday, and the long-anticipated teacher auction, where money will be raised for certain teachers to participate in a challenge.

We have been really impressed with the enthusiasm and generosity students have been showing during these events so far, and it’s great to see how many want to make an impact on the lives of other young Australians like ourselves after these devastating fires. We’d really like to encourage more students to join in with the next events we have planned and donate so that we can achieve our $5000 goal to support Mallacoota P-12 as best we can.
