eLeader Community Support

The eLeader student group recently conducted a very rewarding community support project. Over 40 students provided individually tailored IT support for 21 older members of the Bayside Probus organisation. Questions regarding use of mobile phones, iPads, and notebook computers were enthusiastically answered by the eLeaders, all of whom generously volunteered their time and expertise. The eLeaders refined their skills of communication and patience with a generation which has not grown up in the digital era. Attendees from Probus (including a 98 year old member) gave glowing feedback of the respectful and personable approach their eLeader “teachers” showed toward them.
