Multicultural Day

Thank you everyone for your efforts with Multicultural Day! We had a ball! It was great to see so many of our students volunteering to perform as part of the African Dancing. Students were really engaged, excited and willing to participate.  Great job on the food front, the dressing up in colours and overall involvement!

Another memorable day @ KPS!

Check them out!

Another Random Act of Kindness that our students are carrying out.  With no direction from teachers or adults, they willingly asked for a bag and gloves to kindly collect rubbish from our school environment so they can avoid polluting our drains and waterways for the benefit of dolphins and sea life.  The world is a better place with these gems in in! I'm so proud!

Fun at the Fair!

Check us out! What a great day!

We had such a wonderful experience at All the Fun of the Fair! Thanks to all of our families who supported our Senior School students and provided funds for us to spend! We certainly felt the sugar high at about 3pm! The rain didn't get in our way of eating, spending, throwing sponges at teachers and big buddies or walking through the puddles! A great learning experience on top of fun, our students learnt ideas on how to spend money! And that there isn't a lot to buy for 20 cents!!! They were exposed to real life experiences such as budgeting, receiving change, bargains, expensive items and cheap items.  It really was a highlight of the week.

Foundation in 2017

Last night Daniel and myself ran the Foundation Information Night for parents and families starting in 2017.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank our current families with children already at Kilsyth who attended.  A lot of families assume that the information will remain the same each year but with these days things change so frequently it's always great to stay up-to-date with information.  We were very pleased with the turnout. With over 15 families attending, it's always great to see families becoming involved with school.  Thank you all for taking, and making, time within your busy schedules to attend.  I look forward to maintaining contact with all of our families here at Kilsyth in 2017.

Christmas is Coming

With the lead up to the big man coming, we will be starting some Christmas activities next week.  This includes our song practise for School Carols Night on Tuesday 13th December.  We encourage you to practise with your child at home (although it's rather cute when they fade in and out from verse to chorus through not knowing the words). We will be singing 2 songs on the night.  One all on our own and one with our buddies.  We hope you've got this date in your diaries as we look forward the community getting together.
