Term 4 Overview of ITALIAN at Roxburgh Park Primary School
During remote learning, students from Prep to Grade 6 strived to continue to develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills of the Italian Language. Many digital platforms were introduced as an innovative way for students to submit their work and complete their set tasks.
Foundation – Grade 2 students proceeded with structured weekly lessons using PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and educational online resources to submit their work, complete tasks and receive teacher feedback.
Grades 3 - 6 students also used various digital platforms such as OneNote, Flip Grid in conjunction with educational online resources to support their learning, submit work and receive teacher feedback.
In Term 4, students will be introduced to new topics with a focus on:
Throughout Term 4, specialist Italian classes will be continuing for Grades 3-6.
Grade 3 - 4:

Celebrations and Festivals Unit
In this unit students learn language relating to celebrations of special occasions and of their achievements in activities and tasks. Throughout the unit students will be given opportunities to practice and demonstrate the following:
Grade 5 - 6:
"LA PAGHETTA"
Pocket Money Unit
In this unit students will continue to gain confidence in manipulating numbers and will further their learning of common Italian expressions in relation to money and purchasing. They will begin to learn about the euro currency and will prepare and perform a radio or TV advert for a toy or clothing.
Students will also develop their confidence in speaking Italian and will be given opportunities to talk about things that they like and dislike and justify their opinions. They will continue to practice and consolidate numbers up to 100, with the addition of some higher numbers as they begin to discuss prices in euros.
