Assistant Principal's Reports

Libbi Posar and Adrian Hanson

Welcome back to the much anticipated return to Term 4. It is wonderful to see our school full with students and teachers and getting back to what we know best – Teaching and Learning.

As our students return to onsite learning our priorities lie in ensuring the well being and needs of our students are catered for. Our students and families have been through so much and endured one of the most challenging times most of us will ever face in our life times. So as we transition back teachers will focus on getting back to normal school life with a focus on mental well being and enabling the support students need to continue to grow.

We will also be focusing on implementing the right support for students' learning needs. Our teachers and ES staff will be working hard over the next two weeks to ensure students have settled back in to the routines of teaching and learning at RPPS. You may have seen or heard announcements by the Victorian Government’s investment in individualised support for student learning.

At RPPS we will be implementing many of our own plans utilising every opportunity we can to continue supporting our student’s needs now. Teachers will be evaluating, observing and monitoring our students very closely over the coming weeks to identify where our students are at and what we need to do to support them to move forward in their learning. We will utilise our support staff and establish focused learning to target the specific needs that we identify as crucial to start catching up and extending our students.
