Captains' Corner

College Captains Aker Mawith, Tofy Jorissen and Johanna Pastias  (Vice-Captain)

Welcome back young Lasallian brothers and sisters to remote learning, this time period has taught us to adapt -  adapt to a new learning environment, and to unfamiliar circumstances.

As much as it is a difficult time, we turn to and thank God that we are all healthy, and well.

I wish everyone the best of luck with all your learning.  Keep working hard and studying hard, remember education is such a powerful tool, and that we are beyond blessed to have it.

You have all the support back here at our home base, our wonderful College, and your teachers will go to extreme lengths to assist and help you with your learning, and for that we thank them for what they do to help us succeed.

Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.

God bless and take care.

Hello St Johns Regional College,

As you are aware 2020 has not been to kind to us. Despite this it is imperative to know that we can not let these setbacks stop us from achieving our goals. We are now beginning in our second semester and for the year elevens and twelves, that means its crunch time for us. Exams are right around the corner and we cannot let anything stop us from getting the scores that we want to achieve.

I know that it will be harder considering the circumstances that we are in, but try to remember why you are here, what you are fighting for. Your goal is right within your sight, so hold onto it for as long as you can. For the younger year levels, the year sevens to tens, I implore you to take this time and use it to the best of your advantage. Don't waste this prime opportunity for study and work for other things, use this time to get closer to the dreams and goals that you want. In the end, all your hard work will be worth it.

Thank you for all your hard work St Johns

Tofy Jorissen (College Captain)

Welcome back to everyone! Hope you all have a restful yet still productive holiday :)

We hope remote learning will be as successful, if not even more than last time, for our Year 7s to Year 10s. Take this time to focus on your wellbeing and health while also making sure not to fall behind on any homework and assessments.

As for the seniors… you all know we have recently started to undergo safety measures to make sure that school is a safe place for our learning; doing temperature testing during homeroom, distributing hand sanitiser throughout the whole school and minimising physical contact with each other.  And we would like to thank every one of you for cooperating and understanding. Although it is still difficult for us to get used to such conditions, if we continue to do as we have been, we will back to the norm in no time!

If anyone has any inquiries or issues regarding the new conditions, please do not hesitate to let any of the teachers or anybody from the leadership team know, as we will do our best to take into consideration every student’s inputs.

As always, stay safe and God bless.

Johanna Pastias (Vice-Captain)
