Ourschool Alumni Program

Alum Sharman Gronow, MGC class of 2013, shared insight from her personal career pathway with psychology and law students at MGC. Three very important takeaways as seen in this excerpt: When choosing courses/degrees, trust your gut and choose what makes you happy. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself - there are many ways to end up doing what you want to do. Listen to the Careers Coordinator!

Students in Psychology classes at MGC were studying memory as it pertains to legal settings, and teacher Wendy Keen agreed to connect the students to an alum with a dual degree in Law and Psychology to ask about real life situations in which these two topics overlap.  Sharman shared her experience about university classes focused on memory, situations in the real world where psychology and law overlap and how MGC students can follow their interests in multiple courses to plan a career pathway that appeals to them.

MGC alumnae have a wealth of knowledge, and many have shared their experiences with students who are soon to embark on a post MGC pathway of their own.  This connection benefits all who participate: teachers see the fruits of their labour, alumnae feel the satisfaction of giving back and students learn firsthand from relevant role models.

If you are or know an alum who would like to share her post-MGC pathway with the alumni coordinator, email alumni@mgc.vic.edu.au
