3-4 Learning Community

In the 3-4 Learning Community we are learning about Multiplication. One of the strategies we are using to help us with Multiplication facts is using arrays. 

An array is where we use Rows and Columns to show a multiplication fact. Arrays are a visual way that can help us solve multiplication problems but they are also found in our everyday life. 

Below are the examples we found in our Learning Community. 

We took photos using our iPads and used Markup to show the array. Keep your eyes peeled, you might start seeing arrays everywhere just like we have!

Specialists 

Secondary Art - The students in Years 7 - 10 have been working on an individual t-shirt design piece and a personal identity collage with a focus on lines and patterns. 

Secondary PE - The students in Years 7 -10 have been working on basketball skills such as control when bouncing with one or two hands. The students  have shown great examples of care, collaboration and commitment during these sessions, especially during skill based games. The students have particularly enjoyed the basketball skills relay. 

We look forward to building on these skills in Term 3.
