Amber Luscombe Year 7 has two diary entries created after our script work in drama on the greek myth King Midas – who wished for everything he touched to be turned to gold.  I really love her creativity in making the entries LOOK like they were from the two characters by adding in a bit of nature!

Year 9 Media students have been creating posters about CAMELS!! What are CAMELS you ask?? Well this is the way we get students to remember the production elements that are used to create meaning in film.

Year 7 Food Technology - Week 1 Pasta with meatballs

I am so impressed with the amazing efforts of the students in the Year 7 Food Technology class during week one of remote teaching and learning. A number of students chose the option to produce pasta with meatballs.

In case you missed it…

At the end of term 2 the music department put together a Virtual Concert based on the music they had been working on during the face-to-face and remote learning periods for the semester. Upon returning to school each ensemble had a maximum of one group rehearsal before they performed and recorded their pieces to an empty theatre and being mindful of social distancing.

I am very proud of the results we were able to achieve and it shows how well the music students of Healesville High School were committed to learning their music, both on and off campus.

As we head into Semester 2 we will begin preparations for our next concert, whenever that may be…
