Principal's News

Our Junior students socially distancing

Dear Parents,

A big congratulation to everyone on such a positive and enthusiatic beginning to  remote learning. It continues to be a team effort with teachers  providing targetted and engaging learning tasks and parents supporting their child's learning regardless of how challenging this may be at times. We are really pleased that nearly all our students have connected to learning and are managing to complete some or all tasks.

Parent Session on Reading

In a couple of weeks, on Monday 10th August, at 2pm till 2:30pm, Annabelle our Literacy Leader will be running an online Parent Session on Modelled Reading and how you can support your child at home. This will be similar to the parent session we ran in first term on Spelling, which the parents who attended, found extremely valuable. If you are interested in attending this session, please email Annabelle so that she can send you a Zoom link for the session.

Meet the Staff

We hope you continue to enjoy meeting our staff

Barbara Shaw - Library

Hello, my name is Barbara Shaw and I work in the Library. I have been at Trinity Catholic School first as a Mum from 2009, and then in the Library since 2016. I was born in Germany, came to Australia about 20 years ago and have lived in Melbourne for most of that time.

I really enjoy being amongst books, our students and wonderful community and very much look forward to seeing everyone back and enjoying the library.

Also I can't wait to organise the Book Fair and Book Week in Term 4 and to see you participating in our wonderful activities.

Wishing you all the very best, take care and see you all soon

HAPPY READING!

Miss Belinda - Music and Choir

Hi everyone, I’m Miss Belinda, the Music teacher and director of our lovely Trinity Trebles Choir. This is my second year at Trinity and I love being part of our vibrant, diverse community. Outside of school, I teach Laughter Yoga and this has given me some amazing experiences, like working with people having kidney dialysis, to help them feel happier and more positive, as well as community groups and individuals who need more laughter in their lives!

My family are originally from Austria - in my photo you can see my favourite place in the world – the mountains above Innsbruck, in the Austrian Alps.

Miss Jamine - Learning Support Officer (LSO)

Hi everyone, I am a Learning Support Officer here at Trinity Catholic School. I started at TCS at the beginning of the year, and love helping students in the classroom across all year levels. I am originally from country Victoria where I grew up on a farm, so I am enjoying the adventure of living in a 'big city.'

Kate Foley Prep/1AP teacher

Hi Everyone, I'm very lucky to be the Prep/1 teacher this year. I have 2 beautiful children Imogen who is 4 years old and Lachlan 2 years old. We love to go to the park together, play games and read books.  I also enjoy watching movies, running, playing tennis and having holidays and adventures.

IT Support for Trinity Families

If you are experiencing any IT issues you can ring our IT service provider Centorrino.

This support can be accessed by phoning  9998 6392 between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays and will continue to operate throughout the remote learning period. You just need to tell them you are from Trinity Catholic School.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)

Schools are now required to complete the NCCD on students with a disability. It counts the number of students who receive additional adjustments or ‘help’ at school because of a disability. The NCCD helps governments plan for the needs of students with a disability.

Please read the attached information for further clarification.

Keep safe and warm
