Technology

Year 7 Food

The year 7’s are displaying a very positive attitude to their learning in Food Technology this term.

Last week they made Breakfast which consisted of Eggs and Soldiers and French Toast, served with orange juice.

Students worked both independently and on their own to produce some amazing breakfasts.

This week students were focusing on knife skills, using the stove top and wok safely to stir fry, and working collaboratively.

All students were successful in producing a very colourful Chicken and Vegetable stir fry.

Sweet Desires

Over the last two weeks students have enjoyed baking delicious Chocolate Muffins and Apple Cinnamon Teacake.

Students are learning about the role of particular ingredients when making muffins and teacakes.

It was wonderful to see students use their creative abilities and present their products in a very appealing manner.
