Recycle your Old Mobile Phones!

Old Orchard is helping save gorillas by collecting old mobile phones and tablets!!! All you need to do is drop off any old unwanted devices to the Office or send them along with your child to place in the cardboard cylinder at the Office. Once we collect more than 10, the Zoo arranges a free courier pick up from our school to the Zoo. 

Since October 2008 They're Calling on You has collected more than 164,000 and raised more than $271,000 for conservation.

Funds raised through the recycling mobile phones are donated to support Zoos Victoria and our conservation partners, Gorilla Doctors, who provide life-saving medical care to fragile wild gorilla populations in Africa. Individual phones can also be dropped off at Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Zoo or Healesville Sanctuary.

We accept all mobile phones, smart phones, tablets and associated accessories in any condition.

Thank you for supporting our efforts to be sustainable.

School Car Parking After Hours

Just a friendly reminder that the car parks at the rear of the school adjacent to the Gym are for Kidzone drop-off and pick-up only - if your child is attending an after hours program such as Dance or Tennis please park in the larger carpark at the rear of the tennis courts.

Reporting your Child's Absence

If your child is absent from school for any reason you are able to report the reason through the Sentral Portal or by phoning the school on 9877 7899 and selecting option 1 to leave a message.

You are also able to explain a previous absence through the Sentral Parent Portal.

As new Government regulations require all absences to be explained you may receive a sms if your child has been marked absent and a reason has not been entered on the roll.

Uniform Shop

Our uniform shop is operated by Klad Sport and is open here at school on Monday afternoons from 2.30 pm until 4 pm and on Thursdays from 8.30 am to 10.30 am, or orders may be left at the office and they will be filled on  Mondays or Thursdays.  

The Uniform Shop is located at the rear of the school, inside our Gym building, in a small office behind the canteen.

Please note the Uniform Shop is unable to accept cheques.  Payment may be made by credit card or cash only.

Klad Sport also operate a shopfront at 8 Macro Court, Rowville (Phone 9763 0266) and they are open:

Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5 pm

(Fridays until 4.30 pm)

and Saturdays 10 am to 1 pm

Working with Children Check

There are some parents who have Working with Children Checks that have expired.  

Please  note that it is mandatory for any person working with children in our school to hold a valid W.W.C. card - if your card has expired you will not be permitted to work with students or assist with school programs.  You  must present your W.W.C. card at the office each time it is renewed.

School Banking

School Banking takes place on a Friday each week. Remember to send your bank books via the classroom.

Parents may wish to pay school fees, excursions swimming charges with Direct Deposit on the Net.

family's school account.

Payments can also be made on line through the Sentral Parents Portal - payments through the portal are subject to a small processing charge (approx. 2%).
