Calrossy P & F Association

Calrossy Parents and Friends Association - AGM

The  Calrossy P & F of 2018/19 has been well supported by so many that it has placed us in a fortunate position to be able to fund worthy projects. Most importantly together as a P and F we have been able to provide a voice on behalf of the parent body to the school executive. Thank you to the generous people who are committed to making Calrossy a better place for all of the students who attend our school now and into the future.

The 2018/19 support provided by our P and F included volunteering in the classroom as helpers and readers to students, attending many School events, cooking thousands of sausages on the BBQ’s, supporting major events like Carols and the Centenary Reunion Weekend, and of course the 20th Birthday of the Primary School. This year we had some fantastic events that have helped to raise funds, including the 2018 Ball and the 9 and Dine Golf Day.

These events are wonderful opportunities to continue to support our school community to stay connected socially and have some fun.

As a result of the dedication and effort our P and F has raised significant funds that have made a positive impact to the students and staff of Calrossy.  During the last 12 months we have been able to support the following projects that include:

  • New Primary School playground sensory equipment
  • Drinking bubblers for the Primary, Kindergarten area and the Secondary Campus
  • Table tennis tables for boarding houses
  • Potable drinking water supply for Tangara Trade Training Centre
  • Student study/storage area in SIMS (Yr. 12 common room area)
  • Megan Seis to attend the International Youth Science Forum in London
  • Equestrian Team support for Coonabarabran
  • Support for the mix-all at Tangara Trade Training Centre
  • Brisbane Street Library trolleys
  • Reading resources for the Primary School
  • Donation from the Golf Day to Drought Angels and Salvation Army
  • Year 10 Garden at Bishop Chiswell Hall

I would like to introduce the Executive of the Committee for 2019/20, President John Brissett, Vice President Rob Collins, Secretary Bruce Logan and Treasurer Jocelyn Goodfellow. Primary Representatives are Sharon Barnett and Nicky Aitken, Secondary Representatives are Mark Rhodes, Angela Nelson, Russell Ison and Sharon Barnett.

On behalf of all of the P and F we would like to thank Zoe Morris, Karen Madirazza, Deb Bomford and Scott and Kylie Parry who have supported the P and F for many years and are stepping down from their representative roles.

We are all looking forward to another positive year as our school prepares to enter a new and exciting chapter and together supporting our school. We invite all members of the Calrossy community to come along and be a part of the fun P and F and if you would like to find out more please email pandfcalrossy@calrossy.nsw.edu.au.
