Aboriginal spiritual healing virtual walk on Darebin Creek
Cultural Catchment Connections: Aboriginal Spiritual Healing (Virtual) Walk/ Talk on Darebin Creek is presented by the Merri Creek Management Committee.
The Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people are the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Darebin Creek catchment flows. Their strong cultural connections to the land and waters in this place we now call Darebin, continue today through cultural practices of ceremony, celebration and Tanderrum. We have much to learn from Indigenous people’s management of waterways, particularly with urban population growth.
Join Aboriginal Cultural Educator Uncle Trevor Gallagher (A Gunditmara Elder with Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung speaking rights), to learn about Aboriginal history, culture and perspectives of Darebin Creek. Please register here
