From the Principal's Desk at ECHUCA COLLEGE 

Dear future students and parents/carers,

I am delighted to be given the opportunity to communicate with you all about the exciting things that are happening at Echuca College. While this has been a year like no other, we look to the future with optimism and hope that we will be able to continue on-site learning for good.

If you have enrolled at Echuca College for next year you will know we have recently completed our COVIDsafe transition interviews. I thank all parents/carers and our future students for the way you conducted yourself during these interviews. It was great to see so many excited faces, looking forward to making the transition to Echuca College next year. If you missed out on an interview, you can expect to be contacted shortly to arrange an alternate time to discuss the many important things you need to know before you commence with us in 2021.

This year we received 14 scholarship applications for our Academic, Sporting and Performing Arts Scholarships. A team of teachers are currently working their way through these and we expect to be able to notify all applicants of the outcome very soon. Once again, with such an interrupted year, our scholarship program has also been impacted but we have some exciting things planned for 2021, including the relocation of our weights room and completion of our STEM room.

Current advice around the state-wide transition day on Tuesday 8 December is that it cannot go ahead. As disappointing as this is for our incoming students, we must follow current guidelines which have been put in place to keep us all safe. If this changes, even at short notice, we stand ready to welcome all new students for the day. If we cannot hold our transition day this year, we will look to the start of 2021 and how we can make the commencement of the school year as smooth as possible for all new students.
