Stay the course for Monash medicine
This year, selection for medicine interviews in December will be based on a ranking of applicants’ UCAT test scores. If students with a rural or regional background have met the UCAT requirements and have submitted an application for the Dean’s Rural List, then medicine at Monash remains a real option. Monash is keen to see students with different perspectives in the course, and ultimately, the wider medical profession. Interview invitations will be sent from 2 December so please ensure you have provided a correct and accessible email address via your VTAC application.
Pathways to teaching
The Diploma of Tertiary Studies and the Diploma of Higher Education both provide an excellent pathway into the Bachelor of Education (Honours) and a range of other Monash courses. These pathways are ideal for students who miss out on the required ATAR or don’t meet the maths prerequisite. Watch Dr Amber McLeod, director of the pathway programs, and recent graduate, Torri Marmion, talk about how the pathway works and how it prepares students for a challenging and exciting university journey.
