Eastertide

Our Lenten journey has come to completion. I trust you and your families embraced and celebrated a blessed Easter over the school holidays.

The resurrection of Jesus provides us with continued challenges and perplexities as was shared by the first disciples. We are encouraged to be patient and to explore our own faith so that we may continue the mission of the risen Lord in everything we do and say. Let us lead by example and make a difference by announcing the Good News.

Holy Week Celebrations

The last week of Term 1 saw staff and students engaging in Holy Week festivities. The students took part in a whole school liturgy to learn more about the many events leading to Easter. Teachers and students designed Holy Week experiences located around the school so that they could visit and pray at each which culminated in a reverent liturgical celebration led by the Senior students.

Here are some of the powerful images from the Holy Week and Stations of the Cross Liturgy from last term.

Alleluia Day

Our return to school was celebrated with an Alleluia Day rejoicing in the Risen Lord. The Senior students once again led us in a whole school liturgy about the Resurrection of our Lord then students participated in a number of activities in their classrooms throughout the day. The day also included the Caritas Kilometres event on our school oval raising funds for Caritas which will be donated to those in the Ukraine and other war-torn countries.

Please refer to the Deputy Principal's section for further information and images of the Caritas Kilometres school event.

Prayer Placements

The following place-mats have been produced by the Diocese of Sale over the past few years. The mats are laminated and double-sided and feature traditional and contemporary prayers before meals .

They make perfect gifts, especially for Sacrament Candidates. Priced at just 50 cents each, they are a lasting and inexpensive way to remember that special day, and can encourage family prayer at home.

If anyone is interested in purchasing these Prayer before Meals place-mats, please let me know via email.
