Compassion: Walking With and Having Empathy for All

Each day that I am privileged to be part of this community reminds me of the responsibility that we have as a Catholic learning community to ensure that we are providing opportunities for students to grow in understanding and develop empathy and compassion for others in their world. When I walk around the College I see this in action through opportunities such as:

  • Book Donations
  • Easter Egg raffle
  • Recycling receptacles
  • Palm Sunday Rally

“Be kind and compassionate to one another.”

(Ephesians 4:32a)

NAPLAN

We have now conducted two practice sessions with Year 7 and Year 9 students to ensure that systems are working and that students are familiar with the test format.

A few things to note leading up to the NAPLAN tests in May:

  • Laptops need to be fully charged the night before
  • Only clear water bottles will be allowed in the venue
  • Students should bring a pen/pencil if they would like to do any working out/planning on paper
  • Headphones are required if students would like to utilise the prompt features

  • Wednesday 6 April 2.45pm to 8.00pm

Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams – please refer to the instructions that were emailed home earlier in the week with the information about the interviews.

If you were unable to schedule an interview due to availability of staff, please email the relevant teacher who will be able to provide you with an update on the progress of your daughter.
