Duke of Edinburgh Award - Volunteering Component

The Duke of Edinburgh Award aims to offer all young Australians the opportunity to experience a sense of personal achievement through individual challenge, teamwork and fun.  

Each year, Year 9 students begin working towards achieving their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. The Award has four components including volunteering, physical recreation/fitness, skill and adventurous expeditions.  As part of her volunteering component, Alicia Vu is working with 

 

'123 Read 2 me', a company who collects unwanted books and donates them to disadvantaged Australian children.
