Foundation Excursion 

Last Wednesday, 27th of April, the Foundation children went on their very first excursion to the Collingwood Children’s Farm. The day was a great success with lots of learning opportunities about farm animals and living things. Whilst there we had a farm tour, meeting many of the farm animals, and then we planted our own sugar snap peas which we are excited to see grow. 

Since returning to school the children have been creating the farm experience during Guided Play. It has been a great springboard into lots of writing too; writing to inform others about our trip and using photos from the excursion to create captions and speech/thought bubbles.
