Meet the Staff

Middle School

This week, we would like to introduce our amazing middle school team;

Lori teaches in the middle years and has been a staff member at BNWPS for 13 years. On weekends and during school breaks, she enjoys traveling, making art, hiking and spending time with her little dog Piccola.

Emma is one half of Unit CE and has loved sharing a grade with Celia for the past few years. Before coming to BNWPS, she taught at various primary schools throughout Melbourne, as well as a year teaching in the UK. At home, Emma has two human babies and one fur baby. Any chance she gets, she loves escaping to the beach.

Celia is the other half of Unit CE and she has been sharing a class with Emma for the last four years. She has enjoyed the move this year from the junior school to the middle school. Celia has been teaching at this school for almost twenty years, and has enjoyed watching the school grow and change. Celia loves playing board games!

Jesse has been a teacher at BNWPS for 9 years. He has two children attending the school, one in Year 2 and Foundation. He has a passion for teaching Inquiry and fostering curiosity in his students. Outside of school he likes playing overly complex board games and getting hit by cricket balls.

Lian had careers in academia and the not-for-profit sector before becoming a primary school teacher. They have worked as a CRT at BNWPS in the past and are now excited to have a class of their own (to share with Tim!) At home they spend time with their partner, adorable new baby, rescue kelpie and two elderly guinea pigs.

Tim Harwood has been a teacher for almost two decades! And has worked everywhere from right here (as a CRT in 2018) to the other side of the world. He loves learning new things, reading, cooking, running and getting outdoors - especially to the beach. He’s also  really chatty so if you see him around, feel free to come and say hello.

Kate has been part of the BNWPS community since 2008, teaching prep/1 for a number of years. She was then lucky enough to become the art teacher, when the school was small enough to teach all classes as well as share a 3/4 class. Kate’s  two boys then came along (both of which now attend BNWPS) and she has  since worked part-time in various roles, this year sharing a 3/4 class with Tim Plummer. She  loves rain, making things, walking, and greatly value time spent with friends.

Tim lives in Fawkner with his wife and two kids. Max is 5 and Ted is just turning 3.  When he finds the time, he loves to tinker in the shed, play boardgames and enjoy some yummy food with friends.  He is also a fan of heading outdoors, adventuring with the kids finding new place and new wonders.
