Level 5/6
Level 5 and 6
Level 5 and 6 have settled straight back into school after the holidays and have returned ready and rested for another wonderful term of learning. We have looked at commemoration and the many ways in which we commemorate and remember those who have given so much for our country. As a part of this we also explored the well-known poem ‘In Flanders Field’s and tried to gain an understanding and appreciation of the author’s purpose. Following some amazing discussions, the students demonstrated their thinking through the creation of visual images.
The Level 6 students have been lucky enough to participate in an ‘Aspire Higher’ incursion where they were able to reflect on themselves and their peers as leaders and team players. They participated in activities such as ‘Leading with or without the badge, Influence and Kindness’ and ‘The Epic Race.’ Students displayed amazing understanding and leadership skills throughout the day and we are so proud of the young leaders they have become.
The Level 5 students have enjoyed the chance to further their skills in touch typing this week in preparation for their upcoming NAPLAN assessments and we encourage them to continue developing this skill over the next few weeks.
We are looking forward to another fun-filled and action-packed term of learning and can’t wait to share our discoveries and understanding with our families throughout the weeks to come.
