What a fabulous start to Term 2! We have been getting straight back into our routines and classroom learning.
We have started to learn about Farms, talking about what we know about farms and having a go at building our own. Some Grade 5/6 Buddies even helped us create posters to say what we already know about farms! We are looking forward to our Myuna Farm excursion next week, and to continue learning lots of interesting things about farm animals.
In Numeracy, we have been learning about Friends of Ten, or Rainbow Facts. We made a rainbow to help us remember which numbers are friends of ten. We have been singing along to Pevan & Sarah’s Friends of Ten song!
Last week we also celebrated ANZAC Day. We read a beautiful story called ANZAC Ted and discussed the war and why we remember this day. We all enjoyed making beautiful ANZAC Teds to remind us about the soldiers who fought for us.
It has been lovely seeing all the smiling faces back in the classroom again, and getting to know what everyone got up to on their holidays. We have loved seeing all our friends at school and look forward to learning lots of new things in this busy term!
