Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show

Last week our sustainability leaders were treated to a very special excursion to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, where they explored all the wonderful gardens and learnt about all things garden!

The students learnt about European honey bees and how to best support our native Australian bees in the construction of our new 'Nugal-nganjin' Garden and throughout the school.

We were also lucky enough to have a private planting session with Scotts Osmocote where we learnt how to propagate and plant up succulents.

Big thank you to our parent helper Jackie, who supported us all during the excursion.

Victorian Schools Garden Program - AWARDS

Last year we submitted an award application through the Victorian School Garden Program (VSGP) and were successful in winning the top award prize which was a concept design and plan to the value of $5000 from RB Landscapes.

Richard and his co-worker met with David and Aasta during the week to discuss future plans for the Nugal-nganjin garden and beyond.

We look forward to working closely with RB Landscapes to see our dream gardens come to life.
