Adopt-a-Dreamcatcher – Inspiring Future Leaders

In Term 1, the Year 12 Dream

Catchers teamed up with our new Year 7s though what we call our ‘Adopt-a-Dreamcatcher’ program. Each Dreamcatcher mentors a Year 7 mentee who has similar areas of academic interest and career aspirations. 

Throughout the year the 7s and 12s are encouraged to communicate with each other in person and though letters sent via ‘Dreamcatcher Mail’ – delivered into handmade letterboxes currently being created by junior students from our Hands on Leaning Program.  

As we move forward in 2022, the 12s will share their senior school wisdom with the 7s, and the 7s will support the 12s through one of the most challenging academic years of their lives. 

This Term the Year 7s will observe one of their Dreamcatcher’s Year 12 classes. Next week, the mentors and mentees will get together and work out which class they want to attend together. 

The observations will take place in Week 6 and are sure to provide our young, future leaders with some insight into Mornington’s Senior School Program.
