Student Voice

From Our School Leaders - Will, Ella, Chase, Monique

Throughout the past weeks there have been many events. The last Wednesday of term 2 Mr McFarlane came to stage 3 to teach us about CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). We all learnt some great, valuable skills from Mr McFarlane.  Here are some photos of students learning the ‘Recovery Position’.

Earlier that day we had a celebration of NAIDOC week. Three special guests came to help us celebrate.

We have had a wonderful start to term 3. We would like to welcome Zack & Nate to our school. Over the school holidays a new fence was put in our school for privacy and safety.

WWW:

  • Footy tennis has been working well. Everybody has been taking it out and showing good sportsmanship.
  • Infants have not been playing rough games with primary.
  • Handball and soccer reffing  has been working well. Make sure to listen and not argue with the ref.

EBI:

  • Once you leave a game such as soccer or footy tennis you can not return. Try not to leave at all because it leaves teams short of players.
  • Turn the tap off in the toilets.
  • Helping hands not hurting hands.
  • Make sure to pull the bin liner up and put your rubbish in the bin.

This term, the teachers have also introduced a new award system.  Our Weekly Awards are now centred around the three pillars of our Living Well, Learning Well Framework: I am safe, I am valued, respected & cared for, and I am a learner.  When students are given an award it will now be linked to one of these, and the award specially chosen.  We leaders also have a special ‘Leadership Team’ award.   See below for an example of awards.

Yours sincerely,

The Leaders
